- Keep in touch with your customers with email marketing
2009-02-16, 10:41
Have you heard the news? Postal rates are going up again. There's a simpler - and much less expensive way to keep in touch with your customers and drive more traffic to your website.
Sending a first-class-postage newsletter to 100 customers a month will cost you $42.00 (now). That's just the cost of postage. The other-than-time cost of an email newsletter to the same 100 customers? Just $15.00/month. Add up to 400 more customers and the cost is - still $15.00/month.
In addition, you don't have to manage the list after you set it up. You can put a self-registration box on your site and subscribers can opt out any time - on their own.
Keep track of how many are opened - and how many readers click your links. Advertise special offers, send coupons, or just publish something interesting. They all keep your name in the minds of the readers. Of course, it's necessary to publish something useful or informative; otherwise no one will read it.
Your postal flyers likely get thrown away after reading. Your emails may, too, BUT you can put a forward to a friend link.
Consider email marketing as an alternative to expensive postal mail.
- Do you have an effective website for your business?
2009-02-08, 12:45
OK. So your business has a website. So what?
Try a little research. All you need are Google (or Yahoo or Live search) and some knowledge of your business.
Consider the customers that DON'T know you. When they search for your products or services, what terms (keywords) would they use to find you? Next step is to try it yourself.
While doing your research, it's best to logout of Google or Yahoo or Live first. Why? Because they all refine their searches based on your search history. Let's start with a clean slate.
Search using the keywords that you think your potential customers might use. Do you see your website? Is it on the first page? Try again with other keywords and phrases. Are you there? Is your competition there?
If your customer base is geographically centered, try the test again. This time add to your keywords and phrases the geographic terms (city, state, etc). Are you there now?
If you are not satisfied with your results, especially if your website and /or business have been around for awhile, you need some professional help.
We know how to make your website work for you and improve your search position. There's no better time to increase your customer base than during an economic downturn. Improving your website is economical - and effective.
- Don't be a miser about your business website
2009-01-30, 12:25
In this time of economic uncertainty, you need to be as diligent and frugal as possible in attracting new customers. The most available and most cost-effective means of doing just that is to have an optimized website that will be available to your potential customers 24/7/365.
You've got to be careful with your advertising dollars. Do you know how effective your advertising is today?
First, every business MUST have a website today. Ask your customers how they looked for you. How many use the internet? Second, your website doesn't do you much good if your customers must know its name to find it.
You don't want only those customers that already know you - you want to attract new ones looking for your services. They won't search for you by name, but by keywords and locations.
TheTexian knows how to make your website work for you and get you promoted in your target markets using the keywords that potential customers will use to find you. Our sites are instrumented to give you information about your traffic so you'll know what works - and what doesn't.
Don't get left behind - call us today at 469-272-7700.
